Understanding Your Time And Place
Written by a human, for humans, always.
Everything has a time and place.
A time to root ourselves.
A time to grow.
A time to prepare for the challenges.
A time to express our greatest aspects.
Much like a flower or tree.
But which season are you in right now?
It is important to know...
Because if you get it wrong...
It will end poorly.
If you try to grow before you have rooted yourself...
The slightest wind will cause you to collapse.
If you try to express yourself before you have grown enough...
There will be nothing to show of it.
If you are not properly prepared for the challenges that are inevitable...
They will destroy all of your efforts.
So often, I see people struggle with the season of their life.
They try to grow in a place they were never designed to be...
Either unable to use their strengths at all...
Or attempting to use their strengths in ways that do not quite work.
They try to show their greatest aspects...
But have not found the place that allows them to shine at their greatest...
Nor taken the time to grow.
They try to grow and grow and grow...
Never expressing their value...
Collapsing from the growth that is never used.
They try to push themselves at the worst of times...
Unable to withstand the forces that come...
Crushing them in their rush to reach a new stage.
You need to know the season you are in.
There is nothing wrong...
With taking time...
Finding the right time...
Making the proper preparations...
Demonstrating where you are so far.
Each type of flower or tree has a different seasonality...
Different ways in which they express themselves...
Just as each person has a different path.
The wild oat’s seed will walk, literally, until it finds the right place for it to grow.
The oak tree takes its time to take root and grow...
But once it reaches a point, its magnificence continues to stand tall.
The bluebonnet finds its place and time to reveal its beauty...
Then, once it has finished, it prepares its seeds for the next lifecycle.
Not one of these journies is the same...
Yet each has its own utility...
Its own beauty...
Its own power.
If any one of these attempted to live as another...
It would never express what it has to offer.
The truth is...
Most people, sadly, will never express themselves as they were meant to be.
For they do not know their seasons...
They miss all of their opportunities...
Until...
It is too late.
Know the seasons of your life...
Do not live in one too little or too long.
