Western Medicine has Accomplished some Amazing things.
The Doctors who work in the Field of Western Medicine are often Truly Amazing Humans Who Seek to Live the Hippocratic Oath to its Fullest...
Pledging to Act in their Patients' Best Interest...
Provide Care that Benefits their Patients...
Committing to Do No Harm to Patients.
But Western Doctors Frequently Run into a Problem that Actually Puts them at Risk of Breaking their Oath...
Often without them Even Realizing It...
The Business Model that Western Medicine is Based Up.
This Model puts Profit as the Only Measure of what makes a Good Business...
Hence the Name, Profit-At-All-Costs...
Even Human Costs.
We have Seen this Business Model in Many Industries, such as Tech, Perform Absolute Mayhem on Human Health.
With the Primary Result in Humans being Burnout...
Which has Decayed Human Health to such an Extent that it has Caused Literal Death in Individuals in their 20's...
According to the Doctor Reports.
But in Western Medicine it Works a Bit Differently.
How?
Well, it Really Comes Down to What Care that Doctors are Allowed to Do with their Patients.
See, Western Doctors are Often Limited to What Forms of Care they are Allowed to Do based on Research that is Available to them.
What is the Problem with That?
How Research is Funded.
Based on the Principles of Profit-At-All-Costs, the Companies that Fund Research are Interested in "One" Type of Research...
Whatever will Provide the Largest Profit.
"Not" What is Best for Human Health.
So, what we Frequently See in Western Health is that the Vast Majority of Research that is Funded is What Can Be "Most" Profitable...
Which tends to be Whatever Can Be Patented and therefore Cannot Easily be Imitated by Competitors...
Regardless of whether there are Other Viable, Safer, or Better Options for Patients that are Known to Exist, but have Not Gone through "Enough" Extensive Research for Doctors to Use.
Even when Western Doctors "Know" these Other Approaches Exist and Would be Beneficial...
Assuming that Other Methods and Research are Not Purposefully Buried due to their Ability to Destroy the Profitability of a "Solution" (Which Does Happen Frequently)...
Or "Conveniently" are Not Taught in Private Institutions, which also Happen to be Profit-At-All-Costs Businesses themselves...
The Western Doctors are Not "Allowed" to Do What They Believe Would Be in the Best Interest of the Patient, would Benefit Patients Most, or Do Less Harm to the Patient.
This, Puts these Western Doctors Directly in Conflict with their Hippocratic Oath.
In Some Cases, Doctors are Pushed to Attempt to "Fit" Into the Western Medical System's Profit-At-All-Costs Approach...
Even when They Know it will Become Problematic.
A Perfect Example of this can be Seen with Antibiotics and Bacteriophages in Today's World.
Now, Scientists were Looking for ways to Overcome Certain Life-Threatening Bacteria that we Face as Humans.
Two Potential Solutions were Discovered Around the Same Time.
Chemicals Substances which were Known as Antibiotics...
And Bacteriophages which are Viruses that Only Target Bacteria.
Yes, Some Viruses can Actually Help Us as Humans, as is the Case with Bacteriophages.
Now, the Problem with Bacteriophages is that they are in a Bit of a War with Bacteria.
As Bacteriophages Succeed, then Bacteria attempt to Adapt to them, which then Causes the Bacteriophages to Adapt.
Often, Bacteriophages can be Highly Adapted to Specific Bacteria or Strains of Bacteria, while Completely Ineffective Against Other Bacteria.
The Result?
It is Extremely Difficult for Companies to get a "Patent" for a Bacteriophages because, for them to Work, the Bacteriophages must Continue to Adapt and are only Usable against Certain Strains of Bacteria.
This means that the Ability to Profit from Bacteriophages is Very Difficult for Profit-At-All-Cost Businesses.
On the Other Hand...
Antibiotics Did Not Seem to have this Issue.
They Seemed to have a Wider Impact against Bacteria with Less Need to Adapt to the Type of Bacteria.
Profit-At-All-Cost Businesses could More Easily Create Synthetic Versions of Antibiotics which they could then Patent for a Wide Variety of Cases...
Which Means that there was Gigantic Potential for Profit.
So, which Solution was Funded by Western Medicine?
Obviously, the Antibiotics were because of their Potential to Profit.
But there are some Major Problems with Antibiotics.
First, they Attack "All" Bacteria.
Including the Beneficial Bacteria that we have which makes up the "Microbiota" of Our Digestive System.
This has Extremely Negative Consequences to Our Health and Wellness Already, Increasing Our Chances of Getting Other Sicknesses, which is Compounded with the Nutritional Problems we are Already Experiencing in the Western World.
But...
Perhaps Significantly Worse...
Is that the Bacteria have Been Successfully Adapting to Antibiotics.
What does this Mean?
Antibiotics are Beginning to become Useless Against Bacteria.
By 2050, Bacteria are Expected to be a Higher Cause of Death than Cancer...
Because Antibiotics will Essentially be Useless Against them at this Rate.
Yet, Antibiotics are Still Pushed on Clients...
Even when Completely Ineffective...
Because Many Doctors Only Know About Antibiotics...
And Because it is Still Profitable to Push Antibiotics.
Most Places in the World Stopped Doing Research on Bacteriophages when the Focus was Put on Antibiotics.
Plus, if Something was Shown to be More Easily Accessible and Less Costly to Use than Antibiotics...
Then Antibiotic's Profitability would Greatly Diminish.
But there are "Some" Places in the World where Doctors and Researchers Decided to Focus on Bacteriophages instead.
Specifically in the Former USSR (Note - I'm not a Fan of the Former USSR as a form of Government, this is just how the History Played Out).
In the Country of Georgia Today, Patients Regularly are Given "Phage Therapy"...
Or Solutions filled with Different Bacteriophages based on the Bacterial Infection that they are Experiencing.
It has Even Proven to be Extremely Successful on Bacterial Infections that Western Medicine and Antibiotics have Been Unable to Do Anything About...
Including some Case Studies (aka, Individual Cases), where People were on the Literal Brink of Death from Bacterial Infections being Saved by Phage Therapy.
People have Traveled the World to Gain Access to Phage Therapy...
Because Western Medicine Struggles to get the Funding to Push Phage Therapy Forward to a Level where Western Doctors are "Allowed" to Use It.
There are Western Doctors who have the Access and Means to Perform the Therapy...
But are Not Allowed Unless...
There is a Life Threatening Circumstance where No Other "Proven" Method has Worked (Aka Western Medicine Sees it as a Last Resort), "And" the Primary Doctor working on the Client's Health "Knows" about Phage Therapy, "And" Suggests is to a Client as an "Experimental Therapy", "And" the Client Agrees...
Or...
Western Doctors can "Prove" that Macrophages can Make a Bacteria "More" Susceptible to Antibiotics, therefore Keeping the Status Quo of the Profitability of Antibiotics (Which Initial Research Seems to Show to be Possible)...
Or...
Unless Doctors who "Know" about Phage Therapy in Western Medicine, but are Not Allowed to Work with Clients, can Produce a Version that is "Profitable" Enough for Companies to Fund the Research at Higher Levels...
Which Means It Would have to Be "More" Profitable than Antibiotics, "And" Patentable...
Which Means that Some Western Doctors are Looking for Ways to "Hack" the Biological Processes at Play...
In a Way these Doctors "Know" that Bacteria will Eventually be able to Adapt To.
But Until More Research is Funded and Done on Macrophages "In" Western Medicine...
Doctors are Unable to Fully Live their Hippocratic Oaths of Acting in their Patients' Best Interest...
Because the Profit-At-All-Cost Business Model they Work Within Continually Prevents them from Accessing Potentially Better Solutions.
Now, this is just "One" Example of a Therapy or Solution that has been Shown to be Tremendously Helpful to Patients, which Western Doctors are simply Not Allowed to Utilize, Despite the Blantantly Obvious Evidence that Exists.
So, what are Doctors to Do in this Situation?
Well, there is the First Option, which is to Knowingly or Unknowingly Act Against their Hippocratic Oaths in the Interest of the Profit-At-All Costs Business Models they Work Within.
Sadly, Many Good-Hearted Western Doctors will Fall into the Unknowing Category because they are Unaware of How the Business System May Actively Prevent them from Learning About Other Potential Therapies and Solutions for Patients.
Another Option is to Stop Working with Clients, in a Healthfield which is Already Highly Understaffed, in Order to Either...
Utilize Other Therapies and Solutions"Outside" of Western Medicine, which is a Growing Movement in Holistic and Natural Medicine, but that is Actively Fought Against by the Western Medical System...
Or to Attempt to "Push" New Therapies and Solutions Through the Western Medicine Field, which is Also Actively Fought Against by the Western Medical System.
They Could also "Suggest" to Clients that they "Could" Look into Other "Supplementary" Therapies and Solutions...
But which would, Sadly, work Against the Business Model that Pays "Them" their Wages, which makes it Less than Optimal in "Their" Interests.
It Puts Western Doctors in a Precarious Situation of Being Forced to Choose Between Living Up to their Hippocratic Oath, or Attempt to Change or Fight the Business System that has Proven to Pay Doctors Very Well.
But...
Perhaps there is Another Solution...
Design a New Business System.
One where Profit is Still Obtainable...
But it is Not Profit-At-All-Costs...
And Pays Western Doctors to Truly "Heal" Patients and Keep those Patients Healthy...
Allowing them Both to Be Paid Well for their Incredible Work "And" Fully Live their Hippocratic Oaths.
This is what I would call Regenerative Legacy Design.
It Puts Human Lives as the Primary Focus of the Business Design, and though it has Not been Applied to Healthcare (Yet), it is a Model that Could Directly Fund Research based on Quality instead of Profitability.
Western Medicine is Beginning to Reveal that the Current Business Model Contributes to Zombie Businesses and the Rot Economy...
As We have Begun to See within Every Industry.
It is Not Truly Working to the Best Interests of Patients...
And Further, it is Not Even Working to the Best Interests of Doctors as We've Seen the Medical Field has Some of the Highest Rates of Burnout and Turnaround.
Sometimes, the Solution is to Completely Rethink How We Do Everything.
The Model Needs to be Redesigned.
Those Who Seek Sageship Also Cultivate Others!

It is an Interesting Question because there are Some Things We Want to Avoid.
We want Advancements in Medicine…
Which the Greatest Number of Advancements we’ve Seen in Medicine has come from For-Profit Business Models…
Even if those Advancements have not Always been in the “Best Interest” of Clients.
The Problem is Not the For-Profit Aspect…
But Rather “How” Profit is Determined.
In Western Medicine Today…
Patients Must “Receive” Treatment…
Which Actually makes the Incentive of Western Medicine to make Patients “Feel” Better…
But Still Being Required to “Continue” to Get “More” Treatments…
Which Means Avoiding the Root Causes of Sicknesses…
And Keeping People Sick.
So, we would Need to Flip This Model…
While Still Advancing Treatments and Solutions of Research.
