The Five Traits Most People Fail To Attain To Be Seen In Today's World
So many Entrepreneurs are Desperate to be Noticed in Today's World.
It Makes Sense...
If You want to Build a Business, You Need Clients...
And Clients Need to Notice You and Your Work to Know, Like, and Trust You.
I Get It because I was the Same Way when I Started.
I Started My Business 9 Years Ago.
And for 6 of those Years, I was Barely Noticed for My Work.
But the Last 3 Years have been a Completely Different Experience.
In my First 6 Years, I had received a total of 12 Awards and Nominations for my Work.
The Last 3 Years?
130 Awards and Nominations for my Work.
Ten Times the Recognition...
In Half the Time.
Now...
Looking Back Now, I Understand Why.
To Get Deeply Recognized in Today's World, You Need 5 Traits.
The Problem that I had was that I was Missing a Few of these Traits...
Specifically, 2 of the Traits...
But the Truth is that without a Single Trait...
You will Struggle to Get Recognized.
But with All 5 Traits?
It will be Difficult for You "Not" to be Recognized.
So...
What are the 5 Traits?
The First is that You Need Quality Content.
The Hard Truth is that Most People "Believe" their Quality of Content is Better than it Truly Is.
That is How I was when I Started as Well...
And Now I'm Aware that My Content is "Better", but Could Always be Aided by Striving for a Higher Quality.
When Most Individuals are Struck with the Reality that They are Not as Good as they "Believed" they Would Be...
Most People Quit.
But that is the Wrong Way to Go About It.
Quality is Not Something We Attain Over Night.
Which is Why the Second Trait is Required...
Growth.
You Will Start Terribly.
It is Inevitable because All Humans are Terrible at Everything they Start for the First Time.
But "This" is what Separates Those Who Get Recognized from Those Who Don't...
All Growth is Intentional.
You Do Not Grow "Just" By "Doing" Something.
Do You Need to "Do"?
Absolutely.
But, You also "Must" Be Intentional about "How" You Grow.
So Many People Do the "Exact" Same Thing Again and Again, without Ever Growing.
They are Stagnant...
People get Bored...
And People Stop Paying Attention when They Get Bored.
But...
If You Continue to Grow...
Change...
Improve...
Then You can Keep People Engaged More Easily.
But if You want to Keep People Engaged...
You Absolutely Need the Third Trait...
A Truly Unique Perspective.
Now this is One that Trips "Many" People Up, and was a Place I Struggled for Years.
Just Because You have "A" Perspective...
Does Not Make it a "Unique" Perspective...
And Surely Does Not Make it a "Truly Unique" Perspective.
To Give You a Perspective in My Work...
I Began my Career as a Leadership Coach, and Focused Utilizing Training Material from a Certification that I went through.
It was Considered Good Material from the Leadership Industry...
But it was Not Unique at All.
It was Not Even "My" Material.
I was Utilizing "Borrowed" Credibility based on the Work of Others.
It is a Great Place to Start...
But Does Not Help "You" Get Noticed to the Highest of Levels.
When I Came to the Discovery Years Ago that Leadership Development "Completely Fails" 80% of the Time, with "Limited" Success the Remainder...
And I Began to Say that I "No Longer Do Leadership Development"...
That was where I "Began" to have a Unique Perspective...
But it was Not Yet "Truly" Unique.
It was Not Until I Began to Talk about...
Sageship...
The Four Cognition Systems within Our Psychophysiology...
And Regenerative Legacy Design Business Models...
Where I had a Perspective that was "Truly" Unique.
Until Your Perspective is Truly Unique...
You will Struggle to be Seen.
But...
Just Because Your Perspective is Unique will Not Automatically Get You Seen.
Which is Why the Fourth Trait is Needed...
Consistency.
You Need to Be Seen Consistently Out in the World.
Now, the "How" is Goint to Depend on You.
Whatever You "Do" Consistently Needs to Show Your Strengths.
But...
You Need Deep Consistency before Others See You.
How Much Consistency?
A Lot.
When I Began to Write Articles Daily is When I Began to Be Noticed...
But I Did Not Get Noticed Regularly or Consistently...
Until I had Written about 100 Articles in a Row.
I will Hit 1,000 Articles in a Row this Friday.
But Most People "Never" Make it that Far.
How Far Do Most People Make It?
Well, if We Look at One Platform where I have Become a Top Creator as a Writer...
The Platform in their Marketing says that they have Helped 85,000 Digital Writers with 690,000 Pieces of Content.
This Means that, On That Platform, the Average Writer Only Writes 8 - 9 Articles.
I have Also Noticed that on Nearly Every Creator Platform...
They are Usually Dominated by Only a Few, Very Dedicated and Very Consistent Individuals.
Why?
Because that Consistency is How You Get Seen...
And the More Consistent You Are...
The More Likely You are to Be Seen...
And the More Consistent You Stay...
The More Likely You Stay at the Top of that Platform.
But...
It Only Works "If" You are Consistent.
This Brings Us to the Final Trait that is Important to Be Noticed...
You Need to Do It For Others.
Here's the Reality when it Comes to Business and Life...
People Do Not Come to You for "You"...
Especially in the Beginning.
They are Looking for Something for "Themselves".
If You are Creating so that "You" Get Noticed...
People will Likely Ignore You because they Do Not Really Care About "You".
But...
If You Write "For" Others...
They are Far More Likely to Begin to Pay Attention to You because They "See" that You are There for "Them".
The "More" You are There for "Them"...
The More Likely they Stay Around...
The More Likely You Get Noticed.
So Many Entrepreneurs Struggle in Today's World because They are Struggling and are Focused on "Their" Struggles...
And They want the Awards and to Be Noticed for "Their" Own Gain...
But it Alludes Them Constantly.
You "Can" Talk about Yourself...
But Only as Much as it Relates "Directly" to Helping Others.
It is "Not" about You.
When You Stop Trying to Make it About Yourself...
That is When You Begin to Be Noticed More.
The More You Dedicate Your Work to Others...
The Greater Your Recognition Tends to Become.
Just Yesterday, I was Recognized for an Award as a "Legacy Maker" and my Face was Shown on a Billboard in Times Square as a Part of that Recognition.
I was Not Able to Attend Live because I had Certain Responsibilities that I had to Attend To, but there was a Live Stream of the Event.
It was a Tremendous Honor, but for Me, it is Not About That.
My Spouse, the Amazing Women that She Is, was So Excited for Me and wanted me to Show Off to My Entire Family...
She Told Me that I was "Not Excited" Enough.
It Is Not that I Am Not Excited...
I Am...
But I Also Understand How Much More Work Needs to be Done to Help Others.
My Mom, the Wonderful Woman that She Is, said that it was sad that I couldn't make it because, "Not everyone can see themselves in the lights in Times Square..."
My Response to My Mom was...
"More Important than Seeing Myself There is Being a Person Worthy of Being There, and I Get to Carry that With Me Always."
If You Become Truly Worthy of Being Noticed because of How You Help Others...
In Action and Deeds...
That is When People will Begin to Recognize You.
When Combined with the Other Traits...
It is a Recipe to Become an Undeniable Force...
People Will Not "Stop" Noticing You.
Quality...
Growth...
A Truly Unique Perspective...
Consistency...
And Dedicating Yourself to Helping Others...
That is the Recipe to Become Noticed.
If You Build Your Business Around These Traits...
You will Be Noticed for What You Do.
That is the Path to Success.
Those Who Seek Sageship Also Cultivate Others!
