I see people All the Time trying to Access and Unlock the Greatest Aspects of Psychophysiology...
So that they can Achieve their Potential...
Or Live Longer...
Or Feel Better.
From the Bio-Hackers...
To the Tech-Bros...
To those who are Seeking the Latest and Greatest from the Various Parts of the Different Health and Wellness Industries.
But Here's the Reality...
Nearly All of them Fail at Attaining Any Convincing Results...
But this becomes the Question...
Why are So Many People Failing to Get Results?
Despite All the "Solutions" that Exist Out There...
Some which Cost "Extreme" Amounts of Money to Maintain...
Most Still Completely Fail.
Why is this?
Well, it Mostly Comes Down to Two Primary Reasons that Most People Have, and Will Continue to Completely Fail to Improve their Psychophysiology...
And Neither has to Do with Money.
So what are the Two Reasons?
The First is Stressors.
Specifically Dis-Stress.
Currently, Over 80% of the Workforce is in Burnout...
Which is a Fancy Word for Chronic and Extreme Dis-Stress.
What Happens when the Body is Under Dis-Stress for Long Periods of Time?
Our Bodies Break Down.
It is Really that Simple.
Often, it becomes what is Known as a Vicious Cycle...
One Problem Contributes to Another Problem, which Contributes to the First Problem and/or a Multitude of Other Problems.
Each Step Causes More and Worse Problems.
Preventing Us from Accessing Our Psychophysiological Potential.
A Classic Example Here is Sleep.
Research has shown that it at least "appears" that Lack of Sleep...
Causes Increased Stress...
Which Causes Us to Sleep Less.
The Cycle Happens Over and Over Again.
Except that is only "One" Vicious Cycle...
And Most People have Many Simultaneous Vicious Cycles which are Dragging them into Burnout and Keeping them Stuck There.
This, Naturally, Prevents Us from Attaining Our Potential.
No Amount of Supplements and Working Out are going to Simply "End" This.
It is at a Point where Most People's Vacations (if they take one) Do Absolutely Nothing to End the Dis-Stress.
As Long as Total Stressors Keep Us in Dis-Stress, We Will Deeply Struggle to Improve Our Psychophysiology.
What is the Second Reason?
Failing To Do The Basics of Psychophysiology.
The Reality Is This...
No Amount of Supplements Will Fix Eating Extremely Processed Food.
No Machine is Going to Replace Moving Naturally.
No Meditation and Breathing Tech will Replace Sleeping.
Without Having a Strong Grasp of the Basics of Psychophysiology...
None of these Other "Solutions" are Going to have Incredible Impacts.
The Reality is that the Extremely Simple Basics...
Which we Feel are "Too Easy" Yet Still Fail to "Do"...
Make Up about 90% of Our Psychophysiological Health.
Anything Outside of That...
"Might"...
Make Up 1% Total.
But even that is Rare.
Most "Solutions" that people are Looking at Outside of the Basics...
Really Only Contribute to a Fraction of a Fraction of a Percent of Improving our Psychophysiology...
Assuming it "Actually" Does Anything at All...
And the "Research" it is Based Off of is Not Skewed or Misrepresenting the Results in Any Meaningful Way...
Which "Most" Research around these "Solutions" are Highly Misrepresented in their Scientific "Research".
I've Read Enough Junk Research and Purposefully Misleading Research to tell you that it is "Rare" to Find Something that Produces Meaningful Results...
But even the "Meaningful" Results Mean Absolutely "Nothing" Without the Basics.
The Basics, in Reality, are Nearly "Everything" that You Need.
We as a Society have attempted to "Replace" many of the Basics...
Synthetic Nutrients...
Artificial Light...
Recreated Hormones...
Yet, None of these have Proven as Effective as the Real things they are Based on...
And Most of them are Detrimental to Our Health.
The Truth is that as long as We Fail to Do the Basics "And" Continue to Live is Excessive and Chronic Dis-Stress...
Our Psychophysiology Will "Always" Be Abysmal.
Until We Remove "Enough" Stressors (because "Some" Stressors are Needed for Health) and Master the Basics...
We Will Continue to See Psychophysiological Decent in Our Society.
But...
The Human Capacity to Heal is Absolutely Incredible...
When we Do These Two Things.
Can You Go Even Further?
Absolutely.
But You Must "First" Focus on these Two Things if we want to "Hope" to Obtain Meaningful Progress.
