When it's Icy, Unfeeling Sight Sets Itself Upon You...
It is Enough to Paralyze You...
Crush You...
Consume You.
The World is Struggling...
In So Many Different Ways.
The Problems of the World Are So Dark...
And I have Seen So Many People...
Changed...
As they Look into Abyss.
Some Become Consumed and Become the Monsters they Challenged...
Others Become Crushed Under the Weight of the Pain and Struggle that has Consumed the Lives of So Many.
And Within All of This...
There is a Pressure...
A Pressure to Accept the Abyss.
It can Make Us Feel So Small in Comparison to the Darkness that Surrounds Us.
The Problems that We See...
Are Just Too Much for Us to Handle.
We are But One Individual...
What Power have We Against the Weight of the Total Eclipse of the Abyss?
To Effectively Face It Alone, We Would Need More Strength than Atlas or Hercules, as they Held Up the World.
Who are We to Imagine that We Have That Level of Strength?
Perhaps...
We Do Not.
But Maybe...
That is the Point.
No Single One of Us...
Was Ever Meant to Bear the Weight of the World Upon Our Shoulders Alone...
To Face the Darkness in the World Alone...
We have Always Been At Our Best...
As Humans...
In Unity.
And We have Always Been at Our Worst...
When in Discord and Division.
Our Greatest Accomplishments have Always Been When We Are United...
Our Greatest Tragedies have Always Been When We Are Divided.
History has Revealed This Over and Over Again.
Do Not Fall Prey to the Tactics of Old.
The More Disjointed and the Greater the Rifts that are Created...
The More the Weight of the Abyss Becomes...
As It Seeks to Isolate Us...
To Disengage Us...
And Ultimately...
Destroy Us.
We are All Far More Similar than We are Different.
Having Human Fears...
Struggles...
Pains.
But We Gain Nothing if We are Set Against Each Other...
Nothing Except Obliteration in the Abyss.
We May be Small as Individuals...
But We Gain So Much More when We are United Together...
When We Seek Unity First.
If We are to Learn from the Past...
And Overcome the Darkness in the Future...
It will Only Occur within Unity.
Together.
With Us as Humans, Figuring Out How to Successfully Rely On Each Other.
To Uphold Each Other...
To Lean Into Each of Our Unique and Powerful Strengths.
We have Seen the Fruit of Disunity...
It is Pain and Struggle and Fear...
It is Subjugation...
It is Death.
None of Us were Ever Meant to Stand Alone Against the Abyss.
For Alone...
The Abyss will Suffocate Us...
It will Exhaust Us...
It will Dominate Us...
It will Devour Us.
That is Not the World I Hope to See.
But it Is the World We will Receive...
If We Allow Disunity to Define Our Lives.
The Abyss is Eager...
Hungry...
Greedy...
Desperate...
For Each of Us to Peer Deep Into It...
So that it May Isolate Us...
And Consume Us.
But it is Up to Each and Every Single One of Us...
To Look First to Each Other...
Hold Each Individual Around Us Up...
Together...
So that, Together, We can Throw Off the Weight of the Abyss...
And Allow the Light to Shine Upon Us All.
