My Hope For You

From the Moment I Beheld You...

I Knew...

My Heart Overflowed and I Wanted You to See Me in a Good Light.

I was Not Perfect...

I Never Have Been...

I Still Am Not...

But I Wanted to Become a Shining Example for You...

So that You Knew that I Loved You...

And You Knew that You Could Shine Too.

The Fear of Letting You Down Drove Me...

Pushed Me...

Had Me Driving and Sprinting Toward the Light.

Every Moment I Began to Chase the Light.

To Show You What Was Possible...

So that You Could See the Beauty and Wonder of Life and Know...

Deep Down...

That You Could Have That Too for Yourself.

That from the Moment I First Saw You within My Eyes...

I Saw Your Perfection.

I Dashed...

I Leaped...

I Hoped...

That You Would See Your Perfection and Chase Toward the Light with Me.

The Fear I Felt Continued to Push Me Until Eventually...

It Disappeared.

I Flew High in the Sky Toward the Light...

So Bright...

A Place that Few Rise To...

My Light was Bright.

But Now...

Now I have a New Fear.

In the Peace I've Found within the Light, I Looked Back...

But You were Not There...

I Went to Find You...

While Shining Bright...

And I Found You There...

Looking...

Staring at the Shadows of Your Life...

I Fear Now that the Light I Chased...

May Not have Inspired You...

But Made the Shadows Appear Darker...

Scarier...

Horrifying...

Has Me Chasing the Light...

Made You Fear Your Shadows More?

Did I Become an Obstacle...

A Barrier...

A Reason for Comparison?

Has My Life...

Made You Feel Less Than?

I Know the Truth...

I See Your Perfection...

As Brilliant as the First Time I Saw You...

But Do You See It?

Or have the Shadows Convinced You that You Will Be Less Than?

I Find Myself in a New Space that Tears My Heart...

I Cannot Stop...

I Must Continue Forth Toward the Light...

I Want You to Come With Me...

To Know...

To Feel...

To Experience the Perfection that You Have Always Been...

To See and Believe what I Know to be True.

But I Cannot Force You...

I Cannot Drag You...

If I Try...

You May Resent Me All the More...

The Gap Between Us is Less than You Think...

And I, too, Am Less than the Shadows Make Seem.

I am Human...

I am Full of Flaws...

I Fall Daily...

Crash...

Burn...

Struggle...

Cry...

Fear...

But I Hope...

I Pray...

You Begin to Understand the Shadows are Weaker than You...

And that the Light is So Much Closer than You Imagine...

Your Perfection has Always Been There...

Since the First Time I Saw You...

I Love You...

But as an Impossible Standard.

I Do Not Believe they would Ever “Say” That…

I believe it is Something Subconscious that they May Not Realize Yet…

But it was True Nevertheless.

It was at that Moment where this Fear began to Grasp At Me.

A New Love/Relationship Reactional Shadow Identity.
