The Triad Of Success

Most Struggle Because They Are Missing One Of These

We all have the ability to choose how we live.

You will always be free to make the decisions in your life...

Which is both the greatest gift...

And perhaps the greatest curse.

When the choice is yours...

You can make choices that cause your failure.

For many people...

It is a slow failure...

But it becomes a failure nevertheless.

How do we know this?

Deathbed statistics.

When people are on their deathbed...

Thinking about the life that they ended up living...

Or failing to live...

98% of people have regret.

They did not have the success that they hoped for.

But why is this?

Well, true success in life requires action...

And there is a Triad of Success that exists when it comes to the actions we take.

Most people do really well at one of these...

But completely fail in at least one of the others.

If you think of it like a 3-legged stool...

If you fail to have one of the legs...

You will fall.

That is how most people end their lives...

Falling down because they only had a 1 or 2-legged stool.

So, what is the Triad of Success?

The first is pretty easy, and just about everyone understands it...

Even if they do not actually do it.

Work hard.

Anyone who is anyone knows...

That working hard is a key to success.

You can slack off...

Play it easy...

Or not participate...

Those are all choices you can make...

But if you do that for too long in life...

You will not achieve anything and will end up feeling like you wasted your potential...

Because you did.

What is the second?

Play hard.

Guess what?

Life is meant to be enjoyed.

It is supposed to have moments where we have joy...

Wonder...

Awe.

Many people will tell themselves, though...

That they will play later...

And they pass up opportunity after opportunity...

To enjoy life.

Before they know it...

Their life is at the end...

And there is no time to enjoy anything.

Yes, you need to work hard...

But not at the expense of living a full life.

The third?

Recover hard.

We are not designed to go forever...

Never stop...

Live as if we had no limits.

We are humans...

We have real limitations...

Such as how much energy (Mg-ATP) our mitochondria can produce at any given time...

The need for sleeping and functional breathing...

Consumption of food...

And so many other factors that go into proper recovery.

What most people fail to realize with recovery...

Is that it is in recovery where growth occurs.

If you fail to recover...

You fail to grow...

And your body gets pushed further and further into states of decay...

Until you break.

The break can end up appearing in many different ways...

Burnout...

Mental breakdowns and illness...

Pains, tears, and breaks in the body...

Chronic disease...

All of these and more occur when we fail to recover properly.

By design, we need rest.

Now “rest” is not the same as doing “nothing”, so be wary of that...

Because many people make the mistake...

Of going from extreme stress...

To doing absolutely nothing...

Which, in physiological terms, is itself an extreme stress that can cause the breakdowns that we see above.

In animal research, they do what is known as enrichment activities because animals die very quickly and horribly if they do not do enough with their lives...

And we are no different.

Understand that doing nothing is not the same as recovery...

And what we need is true recovery.

Together, these combine to make the Triad of Success.

Work hard.

Play hard.

Recover hard.

Most people will fail to do at least one of these...

And live to regret their choices.

What will you choose?
