It does not matter how high you rise...
How great you become...
How skilled you are...
How far you’ve come...
How phenomenal things have been...
Eventually...
Often when you do not expect it...
You will fall.
It happened to me just today...
And the fall can be painful.
There might be blood...
The falling of tears...
Brokenness...
The crushing of your heart and soul...
All of these and more may be the result of the fall.
You may drop to your knees...
Curse...
Cry out...
Pray...
Why?
Why Me?
Why Now?
I thought we had moved beyond this?
Here is the truth of it...
You will fall...
You may fall now...
And you will fall again...
And again...
And again.
Sometimes you will slide backward...
Slip away...
Become crushed...
Break...
And every time you will be filled with pain.
You may feel defeated right now...
Trust me...
I know how the pain feels...
But it is only the end if you decide it is the end.
You can stay here...
In the pit...
The muck...
The tragedy.
Or you can make a choice...
To stand...
To rise up...
To become unconquerable.
I do not promise that things will go as you hope...
Few things in life end up as we imagine...
But if you get up...
And choose to continue to stand up...
Again...
And Again...
And Again...
You will eventually make progress...
You will see a light...
There will be hope.
Yes, you will fall...
But you can Rise.
