The Most Dangerous Type Of Person

It Is Probably Not Who You Expect

When You Think of a Dangerous Individual, what types of people do you Immediately Think Of?

Perhaps a Killer.

Maybe a C-Suite Executive of a Fortune 500 Company who Lacks Empathy.

Or a Political Leader of Ill Repute.

Sure, all of these types of Individuals can be Extremely Dangerous.

But there is something that makes them Quantifiably Less Dangerous.

We Do Not Trust Them.

You may be Forced into some form of Compliance, of Course.

You may be Coerced through the Threat of Violence.

Coerced through the Need of a Wage.

Coerced through the Law of the Land.

But All of these are Coercion, which by Definition Means You Know You Cannot Trust Them.

By Knowing that You Cannot Trust Them, They become Less Dangerous.

I Believe, However, there is a Far More Dangerous Type of Individual.

To Help Explain this, I want to Ask You a Question that comes from the World of Martial Arts...

Which Level of Martial Artist is the Most Dangerous?

Now, your Immediate Response might be something like the Black Belt or the Master Level.

Indeed, they are Dangerous.

But Every Martial Artist Knows that the Master is Not the Most Dangerous.

Why?

They have Trained for Years to Master Self-Control.

Could they Destroy Your Body?

Absolutely.

But it is Excessively Rare because they Know Exactly How Much Force is Needed, and Never Go Beyond That.

Rather, in Martial Arts, the Most Dangerous Individual is Usually a Rank or Two from the Black Belt or Teacher Level.

Where I trained in My Youth, that was the Red Belt Level.

Red Like a Fire that Can Burn You.

Red Like the Blood they sometimes Draw.

Why are They the Most Dangerous?

They Know the Techniques.

They Have a Good Understanding of How to Use and Apply those Techniques.

But what do they Lack?

True Mastery.

They Frequently Fail to Know their Own Strength.

They Apply Too Much Pressure Here.

They React Too Quickly There.

They Miss the Key Context that could Avoid an Injury.

The Result?

They are Far More Dangerous.

Not because they "Intend" to Be.

But because they Lack True Mastery, which is Necessary to Keep Others Safe.

They are Usually Great People of Character.

The type of People You Want to Trust.

Which Makes the Pain all the Worse.

In Our World Today, I Believe that Far More Damage is done by Very Well-Intentioned Individuals who Fail to have True Mastery and Understanding Over their Work and Industry than Otherwise.

I have Seen It So Frequently.

I have Met Doctors like this.

I have Met Nutritionists like this.

I have Met Psychologists like this.

I have Met Physiologists like this.

The Further I Dig into Scientific Research, the More Frequently I Find Individuals like this.

People who Truly Are Good Human Beings.

People who Truly Believe their Work Contributes to the Greater Good.

People who Desperately Want to Help.

But People Who I Find, Continuously, lack a Deep Understanding of their Work.

How Do I Know?

I Look at the Work and Research that they Reference.

If You Ask them about the Research their Work is Based On, they often Cannot Give you a Straight Answer.

If You Ask them about Contradictory Information within the Research they Reference, they often are Unable to Answer Your Questions.

Why?

They have Never Truly Read the Research.

At Worst, they are Parroting Information Handed to Them by Unknown Sources.

At Best, they are Only Reading the Abstracts without Ever Digging into what the Different Studies Reveal in the Body of Research Papers.

I have lost count of the Number of Supplement Studies that I have Read that Stated a Supplement "Could Be Used To Combat Cancer" in the Abstract...

While simultaneously saying "In" the Body of the Research that the Supplement "Also" Causes Cancer.

Or the Studies that are "Human Studies"...

Which have "Never" been Done in Living Humans.

Or the Number of Studies that Reference Claims from "Other" Studies...

Which when you Look at the "Other" Studies, in fact, Do Not Say that at All.

But what Makes This So Dangerous is that these Individuals, often Innocently, Fail to Know or See these Problems.

So they Spread Completely False Information.

A Reference is made that References a Reference to a Reference of a Reference of a False Claim.

These Series of References are then Simply "Accepted" as Truth, Despite the Fact that Much of the Research Referenced is Not Based on the Reality of the Research.

This all then becomes Combined as the Basis on which Good Individuals are Taught.

Yet, those Good Individuals also Fail to Dig Into the Research Themselves.

Why?

They Trust Other Good Individuals who have Fallen into the Same Trap.

We Rarely Question Individuals Whom We Trust, especially if they Prove Themselves to Truly Care.

Which means that People Get Hurt by People Who are Well-Intentioned.

The Well-Intentioned Person Continues to "Believe" those They Trusted.

But the Problems Fail to be Solved, and Often Get Worse.

Then, when the Well-Intentioned People are Called Out, they Feel Attacked and Believe it is Deeply Unfair because they "Are" Good People.

They then Fight Back, and No One Really Wins at the End of the Day.

It becomes a Cycle of Good People Fighting Against Each Other Over Misinformation that has been Spread by Other Good People.

Which then Creates Another Problem...

If You Cannot Trust the Good People?

Who Can You Trust?

This often leads to Desperation and People Seeking Answers from the Wolves in Sheep's Clothing.

This, then, Causes Even More Problems.

We Continue to Follow this Cycle of Entrenching Ourselves in Our Belief that We are Good People, Rather than Wondering if we have been Misled - Intentionally or Accidentally.

Sometimes the Solution is Not to Assume that there is a Good or Bad Guy...

But rather that Most People "Are" Good, and "Are" Seeking to Do Good...

But Often They Are Just Victims of these Cycles.

If We Are to Break These Cycles, We Cannot Attack Each Other.

We Must Learn to Understand Each Other.

Build Bridges.

Find the Merits of Others, and Push Each Other to Go Further toward Truth.

Not as Enemies, but as Allies Seeking the Same Solutions.

We are Dangerous when We Mean Well, but have been Misled and Fight Each Other.

We become Powerful when We Unite and Seek the Truth Together.

It is Time to Unite.

Find the Truth.

Together.
