The Largest Obstacle To Finding Focus

What Prevents Us From Accessing Peak Performance More Frequently

All I have wanted to do today was sit down in Peace to Write.

Now, normally that is not an issue.

But today, I haven't been able to sit down for even 5 Minutes before getting asked to do something.

We have Family Travel Plans - I'm not traveling myself, but due to certain dynamics any Family Travel becomes interesting in Our Household.

So I've gotten called to Help with One Thing...

Then Another...

Asked to Go Out to get Certain Necessary Supplies...

Sit Down to Look at the Blank Page...

Only to get Asked to do Another Thing.

When all you want to do is Sit Down and Focus on the Main thing that you want to get done...

Well, it can Easily become Frustrated.

This is something We are All Challenged With in Our Lives in one form or another.

You want to get Work Done and a Boss Calls You Over to Take Care of a Different Task.

You need to do Client Outreach, but have Tech Issue You Must Handle.

You're trying to get Errands Done but Your Family Keeps Needing You to Help with Certain Tasks.

It can become Extremely Frustrating when there is Only One Thing You "Want" to Do, but Continue to get your Focus Pulled Away...

But this is a Trap.

I know you May be thinking that the Largest Obstacle with Finding Focus is Our Outside Environment...

All the things that are Outside of Your Control...

They are a Factor, sure, but Not the Largest Obstacle.

All of these Factors that are Outside of our Control Do Exist, but here's what we Must Understand...

They are Part of Reality.

We Cannot Escape It.

There Will Always be things Outside of Your Control, No Matter What You Do or Where You Go.

This is Not the Real Challenge when it Comes to Focus.

Rather...

The Real Challenge is "How" You Face Everything that is Outside of Your Control.

Can these different things be Frustrating?

Sure.

But it is Allowing the Frustration to Control You which is the True Obstacle.

Why?

Psychological Patterns.

What Happens When a Completely Normal Aspect of Reality Causes You to React in Frustration?

You Will Be Frustrated...

Constantly.

If Your Pattern is...

Distraction...

Frustration...

You're Going to Be Frustrated Nearly All The Time.

Now, the Distractions are Deterrents to Focus, Yes...

But the Secondary Frustration is what Actually "Blocks" Us from Accessing Peak Performance.

Have I had the Opportunity to Stay Seated Most of Today?

No.

But if I had Kept Frustration, and Held It...

When I finally had the Opportunity to Write, as I Do Now...

I would have been Too Frustrated to Begin!

Which would have Prevented Me from Starting.

Then, I would have had to Calm My Frustration Down before I Could Start...

Which How Long that takes will Largely Depend on How You have Handled Frustration in the Past.

The Pattern You've Created.

If You Fume and Yell and Scream, then it is Unlikely that You Will be able to Focus Quickly.

Then what happens?

Another Distraction.

Another Ask.

Another Call.

You're Pulled Out of Focus, Again, Only to Return to Frustration which Blocks You From Future Focus.

It is a Vicious Cycle.

All because we Fail to Accept Reality.

Distraction Will Happen.

Period.

You Cannot Avoid This.

There will be Some Days with Fewer, and those will Feel Amazing.

Then, there will be Days when Every Few Minutes You are Forced to Handle Something.

The Distractions are Inevitable...

But How You React To The Distractions Does Not Have To Be.

If You First Accept Reality...

Accept That Frustrations Will Happen...

That there are Many Forces Outside of Our Control...

Then We Can Focus Ourselves What "Is" in Our Control.

This is Where We Gain Power Within Our Lives.

Has My Day Today Been Filled With Distractions?

Yes.

Will More Happen Today?

I'm Positive They Will.

And Tomorrow?

Yes.

I can Choose to be Frustrated...

Or, I can Choose to Accept the Reality of What is Outside of My Control.

Accept to Choose Love and Acceptance For Myself and those around Me.

Then, when I Have the Moment to Focus on Writing...

I Begin.

I Do Not Need to Recover because I Never Held Onto Frustration.

The Largest Obstacle to Focus is How We Perceive the Reality Around Us.

Accept the Realities of Life, and Life becomes More Simple.

As Life becomes More Simple, You can Find Focus More Easily.

The Easier that Focus is to Find, the Faster You can Achieve Peak Performance.

This then Becomes the Goal.

Are You Ready To Get Exponential Results?

Psychophysiological Mastery

For Paid Subscribers

Now, the classic phrase we hear around things like this…

Easier Said than Done.

But the Real Question We Must Ask…

Why?

Why are these things Easier Said than Done?

It comes back to Psychophysiology.

For most people, their Bodies are literally working against their Goals.

But, if you Fix the Challenges of the Psychophysiology?

The Goals become Easier to Attain.

It is No Different with Focus.

The first piece we talked about is Accepting Reality.

Distractions Happen.

They are Inevitable.

Accept that Fact.

But we can go Much Further than that.
