The Tough Area Of Discovery And Piecing The Unknown Together

One of the most difficult things people face...
Is the difference between...
Theory...
And...
Reality.
There are so many things that sound good in theory.
That looks right on paper.
That appears to be completely logical.
Simultaneously...
Most theories fail in reality.
So many inventions...
Business plans...
Governmental systems and laws...
Pathways to health...
Which all had what seemed to be theoretically sound...
That never worked.
There is a reason that this inevitably happens...
The unknown.
When you are working on theory...
The truth is that you are only working on a small piece of the greater picture.
It is like looking at a map and expecting the ground to look exactly like the map...
It doesn’t happen.
There is grass, trees, boulders, and unexpected obstacles that exist.
Roads and paths that used to exist may have disappeared.
Not to mention...
Sometimes there is no map at all.
This means that you have no context or idea of what actually exists there...
Or does not exist there.
This is where the journey between theory and true innovation...
Becomes uncomfortable.
It is a tough area to be in...
Because the truth of it all is...
You could be wrong.
You could have misjudged.
You may be blind to factors you never could have planned for.
You may be missing things and aspects that no one is even aware of.
Not to mention...
Most people are wrong.
Completely.
This brings up another challenging aspect of this area...
The mental and physical demand.
When you do not know for certain that something works in reality...
When you do not know how much further you have to go...
Or if there is more that you need to obtain or learn...
It can be really difficult to move forward.
Do you have the mental fortitude?
The physical fortitude?
To continue forward...
Knowing...
That it may all end up amounting to nothing?
It is not an easy place to allow yourself to be...
Or stay in.
All of these are incredibly difficult for a person to withstand...
Which is why most do not...
Or cannot.
To go into this type of untamed environment...
Knowingly or unknowingly...
And remain in it for any length of time...
Requires more than most people realize...
And vastly more than most are ready and capable of.
This is a large part of the reason why exponential innovations...
The ones that really change the future and landscape of the world...
Are so incredibly rare.
People struggle to remain in the tough area for long enough...
To piece the unknown together...
Assuming they were on the right track to begin with...
Which many are not.
One of the greatest challenges in the journey...
Is stay power.
Having the audacity to continue forward.
Being ready to be completely wrong...
Then navigate in a completely different direction if and when that happens.
The doing it...
Again...
And again...
And again...
Until one day...
Hopefully...
You finally connect enough of the pieces together to gain a sliver of hope...
Then continue moving forward.
The biggest challenge to true innovation is not gaining a theory...
But facing and living through all of the reality to discover whether or not the theory is valid...
Then continuing forth...
Regardless of whether the theory you had was correct or incorrect...
Until you finally see everything working in reality.
