The Greatest Challenge Of Gaining Knowledge

What Prevents Most Experts And Masters From Becoming Sages

To become an Expert or Master requires you to gain knowledge.

Indeed, there are many Experts and Masters who are extremely knowledgeable in many respects.

They have spent time and dedicated energy to learn that information.

If you speak with them, it is clear.

They are knowledgeable.

But over time, I have witnessed many Experts and Masters...

Who get stuck in their career and life.

They have incredible knowledge...

But that knowledge becomes a barrier for them...

Preventing them from getting to the highest stage in a career...

Sageship.

But how does this happen?

What is it about gaining knowledge...

That prevents Experts and Masters from getting to Sageship?

Usually it is one word...

Humility.

See, we live in a culture that teaches that knowledge is power...

And by obtaining knowledge, many people “believe” they have obtained that power.

Here’s the reality, though...

Knowledge is not power.

Knowledge is information.

Information “can” be Powerful...

Under two conditions.

The information must make you uniquely qualified in ways that others are not...

Which becomes rarer when more people learn the same information...

And that knowledge is applied wisely.

These two conditions, though, are where most people go wrong.

Many people see a “degree” as the mark of Expertise and Mastery...

And it is...

But it is “not” unique knowledge.

Once it has been systematized in this manner, and more people learn the same information...

It stops being unique and therefore loses power.

When you “believe” that you already know everything that is important...

You lack to ability to discover other possibilities...

You become trapped in what is “known” and not unique...

And trapped because you lack humility.

This is also seen on the other half of this.

One of the wisest things that one can understand about life...

Is that there is far more that they do not understand.

Humility.

But when you are so focused on believing that the information you have “is” power...

You lose to ability to see the world wisely...

And you will often begin to lose power when others begin to see your lack of humility.

A perfect example of this is in Western Medicine.

Gaining an MD has been recognized as the mark of Expert or Master in Western Medicine.

Indeed, many MDs “do” have incredible Knowledge.

But...

What many MDs fail to have is “humility” in the system they are trained in.

As information has become easier to obtain...

People have been learning to understand the Western approach to Medicine better...

And have begun to ask their MDs better questions...

But most MDs have begun to discover that they do not have answers to these questions...

And the answers they have been trained in are not working.

Sometimes...

Western doctors are also discovering that there are other approaches that they have been told do not work...

Yet, when patients provide evidence of these other approaches working...

The MD only has their “training” to rely on, which did not “show” any of this evidence...

And the MD discovers that there is relevant knowledge that they lack...

Which their profession’s lack of humility never taught them about...

A lack of humility that they did not even realize they had.

There is a reason that many people are leaving the Western Medical Establishment Today...

They see that the Establishment lacks knowledge...

And lacks the humility to admit that they may be lacking that knowledge...

Despite clear evidence that exists...

Which the Establishment has gone “on record” of saying they cannot dispute the evidence provided.

Yes, their Knowledge has made them Experts and Masters of what they know...

But their lack of Humility has prevented them from becoming Sages of True Human Health.

The consequences are that the Western Establishment is losing trust and respect from patients...

Then losing trust and respect from MDs who Seek Sageship in True Human Health...

Causing those MDs to leave the Western Medical Establishment.

This is not unique to the Medical Industry, of course.

We are seeing the same thing happen in the Tech Industry as well.

Here is what is important to understand...

Knowledge can have power...

But it needs wisdom and uniqueness for someone to rise and become a Sage.

When we lack humility...

We also lack wisdom and the ability to see when we may be wrong...

And when there is other information that may be better...

Or where our information is completely wrong and based on misunderstandings or misinformation.

Most people allow their Knowledge to blind them from reality.

I have seen this occur all the time...

And it is most troubling when that knowledge is clearly based on lies, misinformation, or opinion with no basis in facts or reality.

So yes...

Gain knowledge...

Become an Expert and Master in a subject or industry...

This is a Needed Step to a Great Career.

And...

Do not allow yourself to become blinded by the knowledge you have...

Mistaking what you currently know as the entirety of truth that exists.

No human ever has, or ever will, have all knowledge.

To believe that you are infallible in your knowledge only proves you lack wisdom...

And that becomes the undoing of most people’s careers.

Sometimes it is because their clients or customers lose respect or faith in them.

Other times, it is because peers begin to see the flaws and lack of knowledge that exists, and they begin to pursue those paths themselves...

Causing others to follow those peers into the future.

If you truly wish to get to the highest levels of your industry...

To become a Sage...

Then you must confront everything from the perspective that you “might” be wrong...

That there “might” be information that you lack...

And that you “must” consider possibilities that other Experts and Masters dismiss out of reaction.

If you investigate it yourself, you may discover that other Experts and Masters are right...

But...

You may also discover they are Wrong...

Completely or partially...

And that begins the process of becoming a Sage.
