Taking Rest
The Path That Most Fail To Take In The Goal Of Success
Taking Rest
The Path That Most Fail To Take In The Goal Of Success
Written by a human, for humans, always.
Today has been very eventful for me.
A bit of a journey with some unexpected twists and turns.
Nothing bad, thank the Lord.
I am tired though.
So now, I come to my computer after about 12 hours between driving and events...
With the goal to write an article.
For today though...
I plan to only hit my minimum.
Do what I require of my goals and purposes...
Then rest through the what is left of the evening.
This is a reminder, both to you and to myself, that in the goal of success...
We are still human.
There are real needs and limitations that we are beholden to from a psychophysiological standpoint.
We need rest.
It serves a variety of wonderful purposes.
Our bodies can de-escalate our levels of dis-stress.
Digestion and repair processes can be undertaken by the body.
If we allow our minds to stop focusing on certain challenges...
Those challenges will be sent to our subconscious mind...
Where the information available to us currently will be processed vastly faster than in the conscious mind...
As it has been described by others...
Our conscious is like trying to solve astrophysics on a sticky note, while our subconscious is like using a NASA supercomputer.
Let your subconscious do what it does best while you rest...
And when you are ready to get back into it, you will discover that you are further along with the original problem than you were previously.
Rest also allows us to tend to our other human needs...
Such as spending time with family and friends.
Seeking joy and creativity in other areas of life that are not as consequential.
Living.
I know how tempting it can be to chase success constantly.
I can tell you that the more you chase, the more it will elude you...
Because when you do so...
You end up working against your psychophysiology, which is always a losing battle.
People so often attempt to be super human, and end up failing as a result...
Because you cannot be “beyond human”.
You are human.
But...
Most people also completely fail to understand that being human is vastly more powerful and spectacular than they realize.
If you try to be super human, you will fail...
But if you instead seek to become hyper human...
Reaching toward the extremes of what is humanly possible within the frameworks of our human design....
Suddenly you discover that you are capable of so much more than you imagined...
With significantly less effort...
In more areas of your life.
Part of what is required to become hyper human...
As paradoxical as it may sound...
Is rest.
If you allow yourself to rest...
Truly rest...
You will discover that it opens up so much more than you realize.
We even have scientific research that goes to show and estimate how much more.
When we fail to rest, we eventually enter into burnout...
Where currently over 80% of the workforce lives in at different levels...
And in burnout, our Productivity Potential drops to 5% or less...
And can and regularly does go into Negative Productivity.
But when we are living at hyper human levels...
Including getting proper rest...
We can potentially attain 100% of our productivity potential...
Which is 20x or more we can accomplish...
Without even getting into the numbers around living at hyper human levels “with” others who are also doing so.
The point.
If you are not resting...
You really have no clue how little you are actually accomplishing...
And how much more you could do if you actually just rested.
So I encourage you...
Like I am about to do...
Get some rest.
