One Of The Greatest Character Traits That We Are Missing In Today’s World

The Cascading Mess Of Consequences Caused By Lacking This Trait

I constantly find myself frustrated in today’s world.

Daily.

I look at so many things that are going wrong...

And I ask...

Why is it that no one seems to be able to see this?

I ask this constantly in business.

I see it in politics.

I see it in scientific research and “solutions”.

I see it in religion as well.

Leaders, everywhere, in all capacities, seem to be unable...

To see Truth.

I am constantly watching people do and pursue things that make absolutely no sense on so many levels...

Especially the Human Psychophysiological level.

People are falling for so much misinformation...

Unable to determine valid science from purposefully skewed science...

Mixing propaganda and news constantly...

Falling for theory that will never work in reality.

But why?

It struck me today from something that someone commented on one of my posts...

“... discernment is leadership.”

Here is what they mean...

The Character Trait of Discernment...

Is vastly missing from our world today.

True Sages and good Leaders have this ability.

What exactly is discernment?

Based on a quick search...

Having “Keen Perception and Insight” to “beyond the obvious to understand deeper reasons and meanings”.

The “Ability to judge well” and tell the difference between “truth and error”, “right and wrong”, or even “good and better”.

A “Form of cognitive and emotional intelligence”.

Being able to “ensure actions align with a personal or shared moral compass”.

This is what is missing from our world.

Discernment.

People constantly are only looking at what is obvious...

Without ever looking at deeper causes and effects at play.

Only taken what is directly given...

Instead of seeking for better answers.

Believing what is told immediately...

Without considering other options such as purposeful deceit, misinformation, or a complete lack of knowledge.

Claiming to be knowledgeable...

Without actually reading or understanding the data behind that knowledge...

Or lack thereof.

Saying that they understand people...

Without knowing the real daily struggles that most people are having.

Talking about the causes they believe in...

Without doing anything to improve those causes...

And often doing things which actively harm those causes.

Stating that they have the answers...

While never questioning if there are better answers that exist.

All of these types of individuals lack Discernment.

Which is a Tragedy.

Why?

Discernment can be improved.

It is a skill like any other...

Which can be grown...

And made better with proper psychophysiology at play.

But so few individuals ever take the time...

Energy...

Or effort...

To gain Discernment.

The consequences of this are extremely dire, and we are seeing them play out in real time.

Burnout.

Chronic Diseases.

Loneliness.

Plummeting Mental Health.

Decisions that are completely out of touch with the needs of real human beings who are suffering the consequences.

The inability to determine a friend from a sycophant that will cause your demise.

Constantly being sold snake oil for problems that continue to get worse.

This is the fruit that comes from a lack of Discernment.

It is poison...

It acts slowly...

And painfully...

Then spreads like an infection...

Deteriorating us from the inside out.

Is this the future that we want?

If it is not...

Then it would be beneficial for us to consider how to gain Discernment...

Because the vast majority of people are absolutely clueless to the reality that is playing out around them...

Pupeteered in ways they never imagined possible...

In every corner of the world...

In every market...

In every political group...

In every religion...

This lack of Discernment exists.

And if you believe that this does not apply to you...

Then you are likely the most delusional and most used of all.
