Doing The Impossible

What Lies At The Heart Of Attaining It

How Do People Accomplish The Impossible?

This is a Question that has been Weighing Heavily on my Mind recently.

Largely because there is a Project I'm Working On...

Which some have called...

Impossible.

Even though I'm getting Incredible Results so far on this Project...

There is Much More Work and Research to be Done before Giving it Any Labels...

Yet it is Very Promising.

At the Same Time...

I'm Looking at Something that Many Do Consider Impossible...

That is a Mountain of a Concept to Look At and Think About...

"Impossible".

It became even More Challenging Mentally Today when I sought some Insight from a Mentor and they Replied with This...

"But it is unknown. You are pioneering."

Pioneering...

Unknown...

Impossible...

Terms that You are Forced to Come Face to Face with in Pursuit of What Has Yet to be Discovered...

You find Yourself on a Path where there is No Road...

No Markers...

No Guarantees.

Pioneering is a Great Word because You Have No Idea what Is or Is Not Out There...

It is Possible that "It" is Not Out there at All.

Like All of the Explorers who Sought Out the "Fountain Of Youth"...

Having Spent their Lives Looking and Never Finding.

But They Searched Anyways...

They Continued...

But there is Another Aspect of this to Consider as Well...

Those who were Told that Things Were Impossible...

But they Discovered It Was Not True.

What was "Impossible" was Only what Had Not "Yet" Been Seen, Done, or Accomplished...

"Yet".

Only the Slightest Bit of Hope that is Necessary.

They Pushed Forward and Attained It.

The Challenge in Either Outcome is Still the Same Though...

Between the Now and the End...

It is Unknown...

No One Knows.

So, what is it that Drives Us to Seek, Discover, and Accomplish the Impossible?

Perhaps one of the Pieces that lies at the Heart of the Impossible...

Is Imagination.

You Cannot Possibly "Know" What Lies at the End...

But You Can Imagine.

You can Think About What is Attained if the Impossible becomes Possible.

That Image that You Think About Constantly...

This Drives You Further.

Imagination also Plays a Key Role in Thinking of New Paths.

Behind Attaining the Impossible are usually Pathways that have Not Been Created...

Pathways You Must Imagine, which No One has Seen or Attempted Before.

I think about Alex Honnold and the Documentary "Free Solo"...

Alex Decides to Climb Up El Capitan, 900 Meters of Vertical Rock Face in Yosemite National Park, without Any Gear.

He had to Imagine Himself Taking a Path, Knowing Full Well that He was Not Taking Any Gear with Him...

You See his Imagination Working as He Plays and Rehearses the Pattern that He Plans to Take Up...

Knowing that with Even One Microscopic Misstep...

He Would Fall to His Literal Death.

There is a Level of Confidence within Yourself and Your Imagination that You Must Have to Convince Yourself to Pursue the Impossible.

Without Imagination...

It is Easy to See Why So Many are So Quick to Give Up...

You Cannot Attain What You Cannot Imagine Possible.

This also Makes Me Think of a Bible Verse...

"Because you have little faith (variation: 'no faith'). I tell you solemnly, if your faith were the size of a mustard seeed you could say to this mountain, "Move from here to there", and it would move; nothing would be impossible for you." - Matthew 17:20 JB

Faith, too, is an Essential Component of Attaining the Impossible.

Having that Complete Trust in that which is, so far, Unseen.

It Seems to Me that, without Faith...

You Have Nothing.

You Must Have Faith that the Impossible is Possible...

You Must Have Faith that Your Imagination can Match Reality...

You Must Have Faith In Yourself.

With this...

There Appears to Be Four Components to Doing the Impossible...

Faith.

Hope.

Confidence.

Imagination.

Perhaps this is Also Why it is So Rare to See People Doing the Impossible...

I Often Find that Many People Struggle with Having All Four of these...

Without Even One, the Impossible Will Always Remain Out of Reach.

Without Faith, You Will Not Believe It is Possible.

Without Hope, You Will Struggle To Start Or Continue.

Without Confidence, You Will Struggle To See Yourself Doing It.

Without Imagination, You Will Become Stuck In Paths That Have Already Failed To Tread Into The Impossible.

If You Want to Accomplish the Impossible...

You Must Seek These Four.

Psychophysiological Mastery

For Paid Subscribers

I know that All this Sounds “Nice”…

But People Struggle to Have these Often.

Deeply Struggle.

But Here’s the Thing…

A Large Part of the Struggle is Not Mental.

Most of these are Things We “Know”…

But Cannot Seem to “Attain”.

Now, Why are these So Hard to Obtain?

A Significant Portion is because Our Psychophysiology is Off…

Not Broken…

Just In Need of Adjustment.
